where it says: the generation who was alive in 1914 would be the generation to see the end.
then turn to page 242 on the top of the page where they say it's not gonna be another generation to experience this.
Wasblind, Listen I'm with you on this, but you paraphrased the noolite as "We lied, there's gonna be ANOTHER generation". That makes two me thinks.
I assumed you paraphrased it that way because that was what you thought the nooolite said. I was also reflecting the fact that I personally had jumped to that conclusion when the noolite came out and found I was wrong, it is two groups in one generation not two generations.
Technical shinnannigans I know, but my point was that accuracy wins the day always as mistakes just gives them an easy out mentally.

Thru careful choice of words by the WTS there is still only the ONE generation, but it has TWO overlapping GROUPS. Im not having a go at you, it's just easy to get the wrong idea and run with it.
Making a mistake here will not win any arguments while trying to make your loved ones wake up, so get the terms right people. It's all frickin bunk anyway as the generation was the 33CE one who saw the destruction in 70AD (CE-AD same diff) IMO.

Mother sounds like a nut job (sorry). Please take note of her negative behaviour and purge ANY tendancy to imitate it you find in yourself ok!
Now then, ... One cold hard way of waking your mother up might be to record her conversations with you. Then when she's calm and pretends not to remember or chooses to pretend all is well again then choose an opportunity to play them to her.
Actually hearing herself ranting like a fantical cult member may make her tone it down from then on. ... or of course she may go completely ape shit and be worse for the fact that you've done this very bad thing (sigh).

the title pretty much explains it all... i don't want to go too much into my story (for paranoid fear of identification), but i have been raised in the "truth", and got baptized at a young age- too young to truly understand what i was getting into.
i still live with my parents, and as such don't want to make a move just yet, as it would destroy virtually everything i have left.
as of now though, i see myself leaning towards agnosticism.. here's my short sob story.
Only you know your circumstances and mindset to decide on the quick cut and run and family breakdown it may cause, .. or the slower fade option which is less of a jolt to the family and leaves you them contact options with you.
Personally I've been taking my time, inactive in the min 1st i.e not reporting at all. Then after some time start missing meetings here and there and then have a dose of something that takes a few clear weeks off, get down to 1 meeting a week (sunday is best as thursday is all sales pitching). Your parents will pressure you to comply and go in the min, worry about you, try guilting you into going, saying things like "you're leaving the truth arent you?"... just deny, keep your mouth shut basically about your real intentions. "I am taking time out to reprove it is the truth for myself" has been working for me. Do the research though as well as it is a mental process to get thru, otherwise you will have constant fear that you have made a terrible mistake by leaving. (its the mind control)
Maybe i'm taking it too slow myself, but after 2 years or so I still cant tell my mother I've quit lol! But that's because I'm living with her still
So take yer time I'd say and build yourself ready for it, emotionally, socially, economically, spiritualy (in your head you know what is false).

The dramas always are a total turn off and genrally viewed with embarrasment here in the UK. THEY ARE LAUGHED AT FFS!!
No offence to the Americans here intended, .... but having badly acted US accents blaring out across the City just sends the WRONG kind of message to anyone able to hear it. People say you are an American religion and err that kind of proves their point me thinks. It's too corny, too dumbed down and seems only to serve to give the kids something to remember from the DA.

my friend and his girlfriend will be meeting with their elders this coming week to confess the lengthy amount of time they've been committing "pornea".
so far the elders know that he wants to meet with them and he wants to setup a time.

Pretty much as you said. It is to extract the details so they can come to an assessment of the willfulness / wickedness level as opposed to the weakness level. Ongoing repeated fornication will be deemed as willful and wicked so they will be DFd almost without a doubt UNLESS of course He or she is an Elders son daughter in whcih case the odds improve quite a bit in their favour. However I'd still say they will get the boot.
Things that will swing it are if they make full disclosure and proffuse apologies to all the relatives affected (this needs to be sincere not a patch up job thats seen as going thru the motions) Then they need to get married IMMEDIATEDLY. That may save them DFd.
If not then its sucky sucky time (no no that sort of sucking) and doing works beffiting repentance (see above), going to ALL the meetings in a humble chastened manner (its all about appearance). Then after sufficient time has been deemed to have passed, then they can apply for reinstatement by writing heartfelt to the elders.

Sorry should have made it clearer,... the reason I'm against it is simply the method of funding. i.e charitable status = free homes and other help off the members = an excellent business model. It's a business, so go to the banks for your money thankyou.
That was the line the pro Jah Jireh used, ..."you are against charity and doing good to your brothers". Please dont fall for it on sentimental grounds too.
Plus it was PUSHED extensively and enthusiastically by leading elders and others who got in on it within the congregations including at the meetings, even in answers and mentions in items from the platform. It had gone too far, hence CO putting a lid on it.
I dont give a damn now anyway because I no longer believe, but when I did it mattered..

This caused a lot of division and bad feeling in my area when Jah Jireh turned up the heat to get several million £s for a care home / KH complex from the congregations.
They targeted high up elders 1st to get things going, then let them run with it. Obviously they knew the rank and file would largely follow the lead of these elders and get on the "doing good works" bandwagon along with the elders recruited for propagnda initially, ... Oh did I mention some were on the payroll and paid. That's right jobs for the boys.
Yes they got their care home and KH complex thru, but .... it caused a lot of division within the congregations.
It's a scam truth be told. its sold as being for elderly LONG TIME served CO, DO, Pioneers, bethelites faithful sisters etc, but in reality they take anyone who has capital assets that can be use to cover their expensive residential fees. But it hides behind the charity status. Care homes are often privately run in the UK and these are businesses. If a care home provider wants to build a new care home, they go to the bank for funding, yet Jah Jireh gets it's homes GIVEN to them through the gullibilty of the witnesses that this BUSINESS solely targets.
In the end the enthusiasm for it did die off a bit and it went a bit quiet mainly through COs telling the elders to back off as Jah Jireh is not approved by the WTS (but condoned). Too little too late as usual.
Did I mention I was dead against it? Cant you tell?
